Building Community

Home's Harvest Swap

Bartering. It’s an age old system for trading your excess for something that you need.

Community. It’s one of our greatest resources that we often fail to fully embrace.

I had a vision to bring these two things together into a lovely local swap that meets in Haywood County on a scheduled basis. The focus of our swaps will be all things homemade, homegrown, homespun, handcrafted, and foraged. You get the idea! We want items that you, our fellow community members, have put love and time into making or growing! These items are treasures!

My hope is that a by-product of these community swaps will be a network of strong relationships with local families who have similar interests and needs.

If this sounds like an idea that excites you and makes you smile in your soul, I would love to have you join me over at Home’s Harvest Swap. Let’s build something beautiful together!

Local Azure Standard Drop Site

If you are not familiar with Azure Standard, it is a family owned, independent food supply chain that provides natural, organic foods and other natural products (cleaning supplies, vitamins, etc). They are a great way for families to afford organic food at a better price. Families have individual accounts on the website and make their personal orders. Then the orders ship together via semi trucks to each drop location. The families come to that location and pick up their orders.

I am the volunteer drop coordinator for the Haywood County Drop, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. This drop meets in the parking lot of Woodland Baptist Church, which is almost directly across the street from the farm stand.

It's free to make an account, and there is no minimum order!

Christmas at the Farm Stand

This is going to be a small, unique pop-up Christmas Market. Each vendor will not only have their products for sale, but they are also working on an activity that relates to their area of expertise for YOU to participate in. The activities are not just for kids, although kids will certainly have fun too!

From Christmas photos with goats, delicious sourdough bread and sweets, a variety of locally made gifts, and a festive Christmas atmosphere- this is a community experience you don’t want to miss!
